Dishing It & Digging It Link Party #202

Link Party for Bloggers with home decor, recipes, gardening, tablescapes or craft blog posts.

Welcome to the the Dishing It & Digging It Link Party.

Hello everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your Memorial Day Weekend. I put out all my American Flags in the front flower beds this morning. I wish I had thought to put them out on Friday so we could enjoy the colors for days and days but sadly I forgot. The backyard fence process has begun and a down payment has been paid. I am waiting on JULIE which is the locating service to come and mark where our water, sewer and gas lines are and then it is just a waiting game. I was told it would be about 3 weeks until the fence install, depending on permits, weather. Greg and I have been doing prep work. Cleaning up the side of garage that has been his dumping ground for leftover concrete and a bunch of leftover branches from the Mulberry Tree we had taken down. There is the stump from the tree that he is cutting it so it is now below ground.

Lots going on outside this weekend.

This weekend we are getting 90 degree temps so it is not ideal to be working in this heat and also having a large bonfire, but it needs to get done. Thankfully my sister is having a BBQ so we can remember our service men and women and not forget what this holiday is truly about.

Whats Blooming and I need your help.

Turning things over to your host for today:

Hosting This Week's Party | Dishing It & Digging It | Angie The Freckled Rose

Welcome back to the Dishing It & Digging It party! We are so happy you could join us this week. I've been working hard on my new vegetable garden that consists of wooden raised beds. Lots of planning, lots of building and many days spent finding the supplies I need. My vision is finally all coming together. I can't wait to show you guys once it's finished! For now, I'll continue planting in my cut flower garden & caring for my maturing seedlings in the greenhouse.

As you may know, I traveled to Austin, Texas with a wonderful group of garden bloggers to tour private and public gardens. The amount of inspiration I come home with always surpasses my expectations. I recently wrote a post all about how you can add visual interest to your garden. The ideas featured in the post all come from my latest trip!
