Using White, Orange and Purple in a beautiful morning Breakfast Table.
Have you ever had a set of dishes that you love but never used? Well, that is definitely not me.
Of course it is getting more difficult, as I now have a whole 3 sets of purple dishes
but I did manage to pull out my orange fire king ones to compliment and yell very loudly
Spring is finally here!
I am totally Queen of Denial about the 7" of snow we received last night.
Because it really isn't snow
Mother Nature just has a bad case of dandruff
She really isn't trying to kill the new peony bulbs I JUST planted 5 days ago
She just needs a better shampoo
The orange fire king dishes I found at an Antique Store back in February.
I have seen plenty of the green version around but their prices don't reflect what my wallet says.
I swear ever since Martha Freaking Stewart talked about them on her show back in the 90's people think they are gold!
That's why I haven't acquired any yet. I refuse to pay more for one antique dish then I would a brand new one.
Maybe that's a bad strategy but it works for me...
I was rather proud of myself last week. I went back to HomeGoods and I didn't buy one single thing...
Not one!
I did have a weirdo magnet experience tho. I was ogling the dish aisle...you're shocked, I know.
A young woman came to stand by me, all the while mumbling to herself .
She clearly wasn't talking to me, so I continued on my dream dish-ca-pade of what I could do with all the wonderful platters, plates and dessert stands when she mutters "I think you stepped on my foot"
Well since my feet were planted dish dreaming for a full 10 minutes, I knew it wasn't me, so I ignored it.
She said it again, louder this time.
I turned to look directly at her and noticed we were the only 2 in this aisle, so it was clear she was talking to MOI; to which I replied; "No, I did not step on your foot"
(Can you see where this is going?)
She muttered a curse and went back to mumbling to herself again and a few moments later I hear "Blonde" and "stepped on my foot" and still....we're the ONLY 2 People in this aisle.
(ohhhhhh kayyyy, game on)
I turn towards her and ask "Can I uhhhhh......help you in any way? Because, you seem to be, uhhh
NOT ok"
NOT ok"
She says: "I really think you stepped on my foot, lady"
to which I reply: "You think?? Well, I'm positive that I have never, EVER stepped on your foot or the feet that belong to the voices in your HEAD. Do you want to know how I'm sure? Because the voices IN MY HEAD SAY I DIDN'T!!!"
I think I got my point across this time, because she walked away.
Not letting it go just yet
I loudly asked "Can the voices in your head and the ones in MY HEAD be Facebook or Twitter friends??
I loudly asked "Can the voices in your head and the ones in MY HEAD be Facebook or Twitter friends??
She hasn't responded yet, but I'm sure she will.
Weirdo Magnet.... smeirdo magnet!
If it's going to pop up to bother me, I might as well get a good laugh out of it.
Now let me see what trouble I can find today...
XO,
Christine
