Romantic Tablescape Ideas
Using vintage thrift store dishes I found recently, I set a pretty and romantic table that suited my mood.
I hit a local thrift store that I hadn't been too in ages and boy am I glad I did. Because this redneck scored! I found some vintage platters that I am using as dish chargers.
The fun part is I found 4 identical ones! Do you know how hard that is to find in one trip at one store?
On the same day! Ok, you do know, but wow! I couldn't believe my luck.
I also scored 6 dessert plates in that star pattern? I forgot the name of it, so if you know it leave me a comment below.
They're probably not valuable, but to me they're gold. I have always liked mixing new and old dishes on the table and finding 4 identical platters the perfect size to use as chargers?
Priceless!
I should have taken a picture of the platters all by themselves but since they are clear glass, the rim is showing up a lot better then the pattern itself.
Especially on my dark barn wood table.
I may have to do another tablescape with these beauties to see just how far I can push the envelope.
The glass votives are also scores I found and had to come home with me. Along with the small plants which are available at Michael's. I got mine in the clearance aisle for 80% off, so go get some!
The tall silver candle sticks were a thrift store purchase a few years ago and the purple dishes are from HomeGoods.
Wait til you see the next set I purchased over the weekend. I did my yearly trip to IKEA over the weekend and this year the dishes were calling me.
