Night and Day Christmas Tablescape

Night and Day Christmas Tablescape

Setting a pretty and romantic holiday tablescape for Christmas.

All the holiday decorating I have been doing, using browns, white and green made me have serious purple withdrawal.
So out came the purple dishes.

Plus I wanted to celebrate that Pantone announced the 2014 trend color of the year...

I photographed this table two ways, in daylight because I wanted to prove there was a Sun. (We haven't seen the sun in a few days here in my neck of the woods) and two, because I really wanted to see some candlelight on the table especially with all the snow outside

Just think of this as a deep relaxing place to take a much needed break from traffic, bad weather and long lines while shopping...

I know that's what I do when I walk in this room...
Course, I take the good times and noise whenever I can get them

This is going to be the first year in a long time that there are no kids in the house on Christmas morning

Night and Day Christmas Tablescape

I always host a Christmas Eve dinner with my Family who live in the area.

I am also thinking I should have my niece invite a couple of her friends, who are like family. I need some noise in this house, some chaos.

Some teenagers

I think life can get stagnate when kids aren't around

That's my fear....That I will become this out of touch, crotchety cranky woman who is so out of touch with the world.

A place where people say things like:

Shhhhh, Jeopardy is on....
look how young Alex Trebeck looks...
or Bob Barker could teach these youngins a thing or two, they don't know squat.

or my all time favorite

When I was your age....

It's definitely going to be a time to start some new traditions...

Shake things up a little...

I can't wait to see where the wind takes us...

What are some of your holiday traditions?
