Using salvaged and vintage treasures in a rustic tablescape.
I went out scouring stores yesterday for some inspiration to do a tablescape, and I found the most gorgeous purple Ikat placemats ever.
Now I am definitely inspired. I even broke out some oldie but goody dishes to do a 4 stack of dishes.
Who doesn’t love a good rim shot!
I decided to try out my salvaged chicken feeder as a centerpiece for fresh flowers. My garden is slowing starting to come alive with hydrangea buds on the Paniculata variety. So hopefully in 2 weeks I will have blooms galore. But I managed to make due with a few clippings.
The three blooms you see here are from new bushes I bought and planted in my front yard. These varieties are called mophead. I am surprised as how hardy the blooms are. We had another rainstorm last night (shocker) so when I brought them inside they needed to be dried off a bit.
They held up really well to me tapping them on paper towels. They definitely look more fragile then they really are.
Yep, seeing this view, I am so glad I finally got around to stopping by a few stores to browse! Now if I could just find this fabric for living room curtains.
That doesn’t cost a fortune! When you need eight 96” tall panels? Definitely don’t want to spend the same amount for drapes as I did on my couch. Seems a little excessive to me.
XO,
Christine
