With the upcoming gardening project of creating a larger dry river creek bed in my front yard, I wanted to gather some ideas and inspiration on creative ways to use rocks, plants and borders.
Boy did I find some wonderful ideas!
Using a variation of mulch and rocks with a timeless wooden bridge. This homeowner created her own.

This one appealed to me below, because of the way they bordered it with spring flowers and it appears more cost effective, with not using hundreds of even thousands of pounds of rock or boulders.

I think this one via Houzz, is ideal for sloping areas. Imagine a waterfall that does not need a pump. Everytime it rains your waterfall goes to work using the natural slope of your yard.

This one below appears it stays dry year round and can simply be a walkway path. I can see this next to a downspout to help divert water, instead of those ugly downspout extensions.

This one below is one of my favorites. Unfortunately the picture quality is not so good as my internet research shows the company went out of business, so no luck on finding a better quality image. But I think the river creek bed speaks for itself.

Given all this garden inspiration, don't be surprised if you see some curves, some large boulders and flowers bordering mine.
All we have to do is wait for the weather to improve.
