How to create cheap wall art or wall decor for your home
Do It Yourself cheap artwork or wall decor for your home. I don't know about you but I am always on the prowl for new pictures or artwork to fill up blank wall spaces.
Or worse; to update the look of home without breaking the bank!
While visiting a junk / salvage store one day I came across a large embroidery hoop and got inspired.
So after grabbing the large oval hoop, I walked over to their fabric section and found a small stash of antique doilies and lace tablecloths. Which I immediately starting sorting out the stained and unusable ones.
I tried to find small doilies, like coasters and big ones for lamps or table runners. Then I hit my local craft store, Le Coupon in hand and went to buy more hoops. Fearing that the brand new ones were going to be pricey, seeing as I need like 8 or more.
I was wrong. Even without the coupon, the largest round hoop was less than 4 bucks.
My blonde brain suddenly felt like I was on to something. Dare I say I found something that can cover 4 feet of wall without costing me several hundred dollars?
I know you probably already figured out how I opened up the hoops, covered the bottom one with a doily or lace, covered it with the top hoop and tightened the screw, so I won't bore you with a step by step tutorial like you're incapable of figuring this out. That's how simple this!
I had this done in less than an hour!
I am loving it, how about you?
XO,
