This DIY project is for the birds. Literally. Using a box I picked up at a Flea Market, let me show you how I made a Birdhouse with a View. The supplies I used were: One old box Galvanized Sheet metal (roof) Leftover scraps of wood, plywood and 2"x 2" scraps Drill, screwdriver and a 3" hole saw One small sheet of Plexiglass 8" x 10" (Lowes) Wood Stain I have always loved this box because of the Railway stamp on it.  I am still purging a lot of knick knacks and dishes from my home and this is something I wanted to keep but could not find a use for it. Letting it sit on my coffee table for a day or two, I remembered a birdhouse I once saw that had a window on one side. And an idea was formed. Keeping the markings the box was a priority, so I started talking to Greg about my plan. When changing up the decor in my home, there is nothing better on my wallet then making it myself. But for me there is a hard line between crafty and cheap. I am always afraid I am going to make something and after it's done it will look cheesy or worse. Cheap! So when I spied a ton of moss decor in a trendy home decor store, I knew moss was going to be it this year. It was also a sign when I started searching for some decor inspiration for my Niece's baby shower, moss covered items were hot. and in high demand. Color me intrigued! I was also curious how many books I could do with one package of moss that comes in a long sheet. So with my craft store app on my cell phone, off to the craft store I went.  60% off and I scored big. I bought one roll of moss ribbon and two packages of moss for thirty bucks. I forgot to check the measurements for the moss sheets but it was about 18" wide by 4 feet long. Before the coupons it was 15.99 for one sheet. I got 5 books fully covered ......

Hi guys! I wanted to share you some reflection I have been doing before 2018 hits. So below is a recap of my top 15 blog posts and the most viewed. I want to thank everyone who has been a reader since I started back in late 2011. It seems like each year blogging brings a new friend and new challenge too and I am thankful for you. 2017 saw a tremendous change to our backyard. It went from dust bowl to oasis.
