Hi ya'll
You know it occurred to me that I have never really published an article on my favorite tips for throwing a party.
Then it occurred to me, I am a no fuss no muss kinda woman.
When everything is all done and the dishes are washed and put back in their cupboards and your guests have gone back home, do you know what they are going to remember?
The conversation and the laughter, so don't sweat the details. Seriously, your guests are there to see you.
If you're having fun, then they will be too! That's probably why I have never really laid out some of my favorite tips and tricks for throwing a great party.
I fly by the seat of my pants almost every time! I have my routine down to a science now. And you will too once you have a couple, so make your own tips and tricks.
Take for example yesterday. I posted on my personal Facebook page about an impromptu BBQ at my house.
No shirt, no shoes - no problem!
I was so happy to see some dear friends just pop on over that we haven't seen in ages.
We had a wonderful time. We were so happy to see them, time just flew by. Did they care we ate off of paper plates and the dinner was burgers and potato salad?
That would be a big fat no.
Before I knew it it was too dark to photograph any kind of outdoor tablescape.
I could of course take pics of us laughing and having fun, but I always feel like we should pay attention to our guests and what they're saying. Not trying to get the perfect viral photo.
Know what I mean? It seems like people sometimes spend more time at a wedding or a party, videoing it, thinking they're going to be famous because they got that "one" shot.
I'd rather focus on hugging you when you arrive and making sure your belly is full when you have to leave.
My Momma didn't raise no fool.
