Porch
Hello friends, I finally am able to let you see one of my favorite posts to do every Fall.
My Porch decorated for Autumn.
This year I bought a few new fake pumpkins and also bought a bunch of real ones from the grocery store. I have to time this porch in a way that all the critters that visit my yard, won't eat my hard work!
I literally got it down to the wire. Within 4 hours of the Indian corn being put on the large hurricanes on the stairs?
They were eating it, even though I filled the feeders and had a small pile of feed on the ground also. Guess they wanted something different.
I also styled up the bench area in the garden for some added touches. I really like walking up this sidewalk I have to tell you!
In the lamterns I mixed both faux and new pumpkins, and put the ceramic on the stairs.
The black and white color scheme here on the porch has really survived the seasons. I love how easy it is to add a pop of color to it with every season.
The petunias and ferns in the concrete urns were looking tired and beaten by the heat, so I revamped them with mums and some perennials that looked a little better.
The poor hosta was getting pushed out of a pot so I am betting within two weeks it will perk right up! Again, in the urn I added both faux and real. The white pumpkin is a 4 dollar one found at Old Time Pottery.
I treated myself and just bought these lanterns to add to 2 others I have had. I wanted to do something different on the steps this year then my usual olive buckets filled with ferns or pillows.
The pillows are new also, I found those at Michael's Craft Store and completely love them.
They have a farmhouse yet modern look that completely fits my decor.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing my Fall Porch and pull up a rocker and enjoy the show that the squirrels put on daily.
Have a good day and thank for dropping by!
