Rustic Tablescape with French Flair
If you're like me, staying inside to get chores done and find that you need to play a bit and make one spot in your home nice to look at, then you're in the right spot! My dining room has changed drastically, but seeing this tablescape makes me truly believe that the classics never go out of style and that should be a trend for every year.
Using a demi-john, tulips and candles, I had in other parts of my home, I did a beautiful vignette in the Dining room. I think it turned out to be a beautiful french flair table with rustic touches. I hope you like taking this look back at how this room looked, so cozy up and let's take a walk back into the past.
So I just grabbed a few things and started playing. A demi john I actually found at a thrift store before they became popular. A rusted metal crate, and various bits and bobs scattered around.
No rhyme or reason, just the Spring season
My walls and chairs have definitely evolved into a more updated look. If you'd like to see an updated look at this room you can see it here.
But the table could definitely withstand any scrutiny and last through the years. I think it would be sweet to look at ten years from now!
Putting a few sprigs of moss in the glass jar, really sets the tone for Spring.
The tulips are my favorite variety. I cannot remember the name but their sweet color and ruffled edges make me smile every day. I did pop them in water after I took these photos. I couldn't bare to see them wilt.
I hope you've gained a smile or two also and will come back again.
