Rustic Tablescape with French Flair If you're like me, staying inside to get chores done and find that you need to play a bit and make one spot in your home nice to look at, then you're in the right spot! My dining room has changed drastically, but seeing this tablescape makes me truly believe that the classics never go out of style and that should be a trend for every year.  Using a demi-john, tulips and candles, I had in other parts of my home, I did a beautiful vignette in the Dining room.  I think it turned out to be a beautiful french flair table with rustic touches. I hope you like taking this look back at how this room looked, so cozy up and let's take a walk back into the past. So I just grabbed a few things and started playing. Setting the Table Hi Friends, Happy 2019! I think this year is going to be a fun filled, garden packed, entertaining filled year. I am like most of you, deep into purging (again) and clearing out the decks and my dish closets too. I am hoping to do more entertaining this year but with less clutter. If I haven't touched or used it in the past 4 months it is going bye bye. During the past holiday season I was literally dumping leftover decor not related to Christmas on the floor of my girl cave. So it is literally a disaster! But hopefully soon I will have it back to normal mode. I may slow down and take pictures to show ya'll actually how bad it got. I have been on a mission to bring the outside in. So doing a woodland rustic style table is right my alley today. I used some newly created moss covered books, and some other decor items I already had. The dishes were bought last year from Ikea. The napkins are actually flour sack dish towels. I am loving them! They're large, easy to bleach and look so casual on a table. My house is still in chaos in a lot of ways. I am still creating a proper guest room. I am deep in baby shower centerpiece mode. I am also trying to slowly add touches of Spring through out the house so I don't feel like I am late when Spring hits. So if you were to drop by you'd see all kinds of baby shower ribbons on the kitchen counter. Next to Diaper cakes and stacks of wood slices.  Plus glue gun, tape, scissors. A banner I am making. Since Spring is right around the corner, I decided to take a look back at my Spring Tablescape Collection and how things have changed. I'm going to start with the oldest first and work my way to the present. Plus, I thought you'd appreciate seeing how things have progressed and changed. Creating a rustic farmhouse centerpiece for my dining room table. With all the tiny diy projects going on around my house, as well as "the banning the clutter" mission I am on, I need something rustic and pretty to keep me focused. I used my antique barn wood toolbox as a large catch all and added some white dishes, greenery and cutting boards. along with some rope and grey napkins Who knew rope I found at my local Restore, could be used so many different ways for home decor! I also added a feminine touch with a burlap tassel banner I found on clearance at my local Kirklands. I stuck with the same color scheme in my Dining Room, using browns, grey and white.
