Thanksgiving Vignettes | Hi! Thanksgiving is right around the corner and with one of the biggest family holidays coming, I decided to give a couple of rooms a vignette makeover for Thanksgiving. But before I get started, I want to thank the TOHT Ladies for inviting me to do this with them. I am truly honored and blessed to be among such a positive and encouraging group of women! So please be sure to visit all of the links at the end of this post, because they have created an epic lineup of blogs all containing gorgeous Thanksgiving Vignettes. Laura @ Decor to Adore Jemma @ At Home with Jemma Stacey @ Poofing the Pillows Laura @ White Spray Paint November is a whirlwind month for me. I de-pumpkin and de-mum my home for the most part in preparation for guests, food and of course my all time favorite holiday Christmas. So I tend to lean towards adding more white in my color scheme where I can. To me it depicts the cooler temps at night we start getti......
Simple and easy Holiday Table Setting I was dying to use the lemon cypress trees and lavender I bought recently on a table. I kept the colors to green, white and brown with a Woodland Fall feel. I filled the three lanterns simply with nuts and mixed in the fresh plants and instantly loved it! I used my everyday bone china dishes which I still adore! I bought two sets about 3 or 4 years ago from Bed Bath & Beyond my budget with a coupon and these get used every single day and still look amazing! For the record - Bone China really does stand up against a knife and fork and daily usage. Much better than any ceramic dish! And no I have never used any type of dish wax like Barkeepers, to polish out the scratches. They go in the dishwasher and then into the cabinet. That's my dish maintenance. I am liking this table setting so much, this might be a contender for my Thanksgiving Table I'd set my food up in the kitchen as a buffet for my Family. Or simply remove the plants rig......
Setting a Fall Thanksgiving Tablescape. I am at it again. I set another tablescape to see if it would be good for Thanksgiving. Spending no money, I used what I already had. I set candles at three different heights for some mood lighting. Starting with tall tapers on the outside and pillars coming toward the center. No scented candles, so the aroma of the food can be the star. A simple grapevine pumpkin in the center with a sprig of fall greenery that I found in my Fall Holiday stash. This time of year it wouldn’t be hard to find a few leaves outside that could be washed and put on a dinner table. To add the cuteness factor I placed tiny little squirrel candles right next to the dinner plates. Because I am loving the rustic feel, I left my chargers in the closet. So it would be a pretty edged plate right next to beautiful barn wood. I simply just tucked in feather, silk leaf and a pumpkin on top of the burlap napkins and said done. I have already got a few more ideas thanks......
