Hallway Ideas |  Showing the power of paint and some diy skills we are going to be updating our hallway.  The goal is to make this space timeless, and give her a classic look.  But first you need to see where we started from. This was taken about 4 years ago. On the left you can barely see the 1970's style niche that used to hold photos and seasonal decor. It was truly a huge dust magnet, which I tried to update with no luck what so ever. The hollow core doors probably once were a lovely brownish colored stain but are yellowing more each year, so they are going to get a new coat as well. Luckily we still have some leftover white paint/primer downstairs.  I walked by the niche while cleaning out my linen closet and thought why do we still have this dust magent? Drywall would make this hallway look longer and hanging artwork would be even better. So using some leftover drywall, I instructed dear sweet lovey Greg to yank out the niche and drywall it up.  I think I ......

Made some updates around the house. A new Industrial chair followed me home and I did an updated version of a gallery wall in the hallway. In the winter months when the temperature drops, I sometimes find myself noticing things a lot more than any other season.  So when I saw spied this industrial side chair at a local department store I knew it had to follow me home. It's industrial, the fabric is burlap Need I say more? I didn't even have to buy any new pillows for it. What I had on hand, already worked. This is "G's" chair to sit and watch TV at night and so far? I have heard no complaints, so it's a keeper Below is a shot of my hallway. Unfortunately it's narrow and hard to shoot.
